A Bristol man who walked free from court after admitting havingsex with a 12-year-old girl says he made a "big mistake" and claimshe has "been through hell".
Michael Barrett, from Southmead, says he knows he should haveresisted when the youngster from Manchester made sexual advancestowards him on two occasions.
The 20-year-old, of Greystoke Avenue, said: "I didn't say no and Ishould have done.
"She was quite insistent and said she had had a previous sexualpartner.
"I made a big mistake and it has been a hard lesson to learn. It'sbeen hell."
His parents admit their son has done wrong - but insist he was a"fool", not a paedophile.
