INJUDICIOUS REMARKS GET JUSTICE IN TROUBLE.(MAIN)

A town justice has been publicly censured for telling a man accused of harassing a daughter that he would have ``slapped her around'' himself.

Additionally, Town Justice Gary L. Moore was criticized for refusing to suspend the driver's license of a man accused of drunken driving and saying, ``I can't do that to a fellow truck driver.''

Moore, who is listed as running on the Republican, Independent and Conservative party lines, received the censure -- a public condemnation that carries no fine or suspension from the bench -- from the state Commission on Judicial Conduct.
