NSW: Man injured after drive-by shooting

SYDNEY, Dec 8 AAP - A Sydney man has been injured in a drive-by shooting in the city's
north-west.

It was the first of three drive-by shootings reported by police within four hours.

The man injured in the first shooting, believed to be from Carlingford and aged in
his 40s, was shot in the stomach and shoulder by a passenger in a white Holden Commodore,
police said.

He was standing on the corner of Coleman Ave and Pennant Hills Rd, Carlingford, when
the Commodore slowed down and several shots were fired at him about 10pm (AEDT) on Sunday.

He was taken to hospital, where he is in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established and police investigations are continuing.

The second and third shootings occurred within 10 minutes of each other in Sydney's
west early on Sunday morning.

Several shots were fired into a home on Collette Crescent, penetrating the front of
the house in Kings Langley about 1.20am (AEDT) on Sunday.

Six people were home, but no one was injured.

Shortly after 1.30am several shots were fired into a car and a house on Yvonne Street
in Seven Hills.

Four people were home asleep, but no one was hurt.
